About the artwork
King David sits crowned and robed upon a lion-carved throne as a court spokesman addresses him. Rich drapery frames the palace scene, while a harp beside the throne recalls David’s place as both Israel’s king and a psalmist.
The throne speaks of the dignity and responsibility of kingship before God. In 2 Samuel 7:12-16 (ESV), God promises an enduring kingdom to David’s house, a covenant central to Israel’s hope and to the messianic expectation of the Son of David. The scene invites reflection on righteous leadership, worship, and the royal line leading to Christ.
A meaningful choice for a church foyer, office, or living room, this print offers a visual starting point for conversations about biblical history and God’s covenant. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
