About the artwork
The Jerusalem Council brings a pivotal gathering of the early church into a stone hall, where apostles, elders, and Jewish believers listen as an apostolic spokesman addresses the assembly. Robed figures crowd around the central stand, their gestures and attentive expressions conveying the gravity of the debate.
The council considered whether Gentile converts must be circumcised and placed under the full yoke of the Mosaic Law. As reflected in Acts 15:6-11 (ESV), the discussion points to salvation through the grace of the Lord Jesus. The council welcomed Gentile believers into the community while calling them to holiness and fellowship with Jewish believers.
A meaningful choice for a church foyer, living room, or office, this artwork invites reflection on grace, unity, and the life of the church. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
