About the artwork
Moses stands before the camp of Israel, holding aloft a staff crowned with the bronze serpent. Around him, people reach upward and look toward the sign, while tents fill the wilderness beneath distant mountains and a dramatic sky.
In Numbers 21:4-9 (ESV), the Israelites face the consequences of their rebellion, yet God provides a merciful sign: those who look upon the lifted serpent are spared. The scene brings together judgment and grace, inviting reflection on healing and faith directed toward God’s provision.
In Christian teaching, the raised serpent also foreshadows Christ lifted up, a connection Jesus makes in John 3:14-15 (ESV). This compelling biblical scene offers a meaningful focal point for a living room, church foyer, or office. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
