About the artwork
In I Will not Let You Go Lest You Bless Me, Jacob clings to a heavenly messenger beneath a turbulent, moonlit sky. The aged patriarch strains forward, gripping the radiant figure in white as their raised hands meet against the clouds.
At the ford of Jabbok, Jacob wrestles through the night and refuses to let go without a blessing. Genesis 32:24-30 (ESV) tells of the encounter in which Jacob receives the name Israel, a turning point that speaks to wrestling with God and dependence rather than strength.
A compelling choice for a living room, church foyer, or office, this artwork invites reflection on perseverance in prayer, surrender, and the grace of God's blessing. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
