Crucifixion at Golgotha

Jesus is crucified between two condemned criminals on a rocky hill at sundown, with Roman soldiers and onlookers standing beneath the three crosses. The silhouetted figures and barren ridge place the focus on the solemn reality of Calvary, where the innocent Christ was numbered with transgressors and gave His life as the atoning sacrifice for sin. The scene reflects the Gospel accounts of Golgotha, called “The Skull,” where Jesus was lifted up between two robbers while witnesses, guards, and followers stood nearby.
