About the artwork
Banishment From Paradise portrays Adam and Eve departing the Garden of Eden, clothed in garments of skin. Behind them, palms, flowers, and cascading water fill the lush garden, while two radiant angels guard the way back. One holds a flaming sword; the other stands with a drawn blade.
The scene captures the solemn aftermath of the Fall, when disobedience brings exile and humanity is barred from the tree of life. Genesis 3:21-24 (ESV) brings judgment and mercy together: God clothes the man and woman before sending them out. The artwork invites reflection on sin, divine holiness, and the beginning of the Bible’s redemption story.
A meaningful addition to a church foyer or office, this print offers a visual starting point for teaching and conversation about Genesis. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
