Aaron’s Rod Blossoms

Product

Description
Aaron’s rod lies like a dead staff upon the rocky ground, yet from it rises living growth—branches, leaves, and blossoms reaching upward against a wilderness landscape. The scene presents the miraculous sign given in the tabernacle when God caused the rod of Aaron, from the house of Levi, to bud, blossom, and bear almonds. In the biblical account, this living staff confirmed the priestly calling of Aaron and silenced rebellion among the tribes of Israel. The image draws a sharp contrast between lifeless wood and divine fruitfulness, making it a strong visual emblem of God’s chosen priesthood, resurrection life, and authority established by the Lord rather than by human striving. Suitable for teaching on Numbers 17, Old Testament priesthood, spiritual leadership, obedience, and God’s power to bring life from what appears barren.

Scriptures
Hebrews 9:4   Numbers 17:6-10

Hebrews 9

4 having the golden altar of incense and the ark of the covenant covered on all sides with gold, in which was a golden urn holding the manna, and Aaron's staff that budded, and the tablets of the covenant.

Numbers 17

6 Moses spoke to the people of Israel. And all their chiefs gave him staffs, one for each chief, according to their fathers' houses, twelve staffs. And the staff of Aaron was among their staffs. 7 And Moses deposited the staffs before the LORD in the tent of the testimony. 8 On the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony, and behold, the staff of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds. 9 Then Moses brought out all the staffs from before the LORD to all the people of Israel. And they looked, and each man took his staff. 10 And the LORD said to Moses, “Put back the staff of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept as a sign for the rebels, that you may make an end of their grumblings against me, lest they die.”
