Zechariah’s Vision of the Golden Lampstand

Zechariah reclines among broken stones as a radiant angel stands beside him and points toward a holy golden lampstand shining in the shadowed grove. The prophet’s posture conveys the moment of awakening and instruction, while the angel directs his attention to the divine symbol at the center of the vision. The seven-branched lampstand recalls the sacred light of the sanctuary and, in Zechariah’s prophecy, becomes a revelation of God’s sustaining Spirit for the restoration of His people.

This scene draws from Zechariah 4, where the interpreting angel shows the prophet a lampstand with lamps and a bowl, declaring that God’s work is accomplished “not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit.” The image is suited for teaching on prophecy, the Holy Spirit, temple restoration, divine guidance, perseverance in ministry, and God’s faithful presence among His covenant people. by S.
