About the artwork

“This Is My Beloved Son” by Lars Justinen depicts a dove descending after Jesus is baptized. The focused scene reflects the solemn, sacred moment surrounding Christ’s baptism.

In the Gospel accounts, Jesus’ baptism marks the beginning of His public ministry and reveals His identity and divine approval. The descending dove recalls the presence of the Holy Spirit and invites reflection on faith, obedience, and the Father’s love—Matthew 3 (ESV), Mark 1 (ESV), Luke 3 (ESV), and John 1 (ESV).

A meaningful choice for a church foyer or office, this artwork offers a reverent reminder of Christ’s baptism. Printed on archival canvas with mirror-wrapped edges, it arrives ready to hang.
