The Unclean Spirit Before Jesus

Product
Image ID

Description
A distressed man kneels before Jesus of Nazareth, grasping the edge of His robe and looking upward in confrontation and desperation. The standing figure is shown only in part, emphasizing the man’s humbled posture and the authority of Christ over him. The scene reflects the Gospel account of the man with an unclean spirit who cried out, “I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” Jesus’ command brings deliverance, revealing His divine authority over evil spirits and His power to restore those held in bondage. This artwork is suited for teaching on spiritual deliverance, the authority of Christ, Gospel healing narratives, and the public ministry of Jesus.

Luke 4

33 And in the synagogue there was a man who had the spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice, 34 “Ha! What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” 35 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent and come out of him!” And when the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.

Mark 1

23 And immediately there was in their synagogue a man with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, 24 “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.” 25 But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” 26 And the unclean spirit, convulsing him and crying out with a loud voice, came out of him.

Mark 1

24 “What have you to do with us, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know who you are—the Holy One of God.”
