About the artwork

The Pledge brings together a solemn act of allegiance and scenes associated with America’s founding. A young man and woman stand with hands over their hearts before the United States flag, while colonial patriots, a boat crossing icy water, and statesmen gathered around a July 4, 1776 document fill the background.

A monumental liberty inscription connects these historic scenes with themes of independence, ordered freedom, gratitude, and public responsibility. The composition offers a meaningful reminder of civic devotion and the sacrifices remembered on Independence Day, Veterans Day, and Memorial Day.

Well suited to a church foyer, office, classroom, or living room, this archival canvas features mirror-wrapped edges and arrives ready to hang.
