And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant that had been found in the house of the Lord.2 “The Spirit of the Lord speaks by me; his word is on my tongue.2 And the high priest Ananias commanded those who stood by him to strike him on the mouth.2 “No one born of a forbidden union may enter the assembly of the Lord. Behold, I will attend to you for your evil deeds, declares the Lord.2 “Today also my complaint is bitter; my hand is heavy on account of my groaning.2 Joshua summoned all Israel, its elders and heads, its judges and officers, and said to them, “I am now old and well advanced in years.2 “Speak to the people of Israel and say to them, These are the appointed feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim as holy convocations; they are my appointed feasts.2 And they began to accuse him, saying, “We found this man misleading our nation and forbidding us to give tribute to Caesar, and saying that he himself is Christ, a king.”2 “The scribes and the Pharisees sit on Moses’ seat,2 Balak did as Balaam had said. And Balak and Balaam offered on each altar a bull and a ram.2 and put a knife to your throat if you are given to appetite.2 He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.
