The Great Commission

Description
Jesus Christ stands on a rocky mountain height with His disciples gathered behind Him, His hand extended over the land below as He commissions them for the mission of the gospel. The wide view of villages, water, fields, and distant hills gives visual form to His command to carry the good news beyond one place and one people. The disciples listen as witnesses entrusted with teaching, baptizing, and making disciples among the nations. This scene reflects the closing charge in Matthew 28:16-20, where the risen Lord declares His authority and promises His abiding presence. It is well suited for church outreach, missions emphasis, discipleship teaching, sermon visuals, and Great Commission ministry themes.

46 and said to them, “Thus it is written, that the Christ should suffer and on the third day rise from the dead, 47 and that repentance and forgiveness of sins should be proclaimed in his name to all nations, beginning from Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 And behold, I am sending the promise of my Father upon you. Matthew 28

16 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
