Sojourners in the Wilderness

Two Israelite sojourners walk through a dry wilderness ravine, their robes and staffs set against rocky hills, sparse brush, and an open desert sky. The scene evokes the long biblical theme of God’s people traveling as pilgrims through barren places, dependent on the Lord’s guidance rather than the security of settled land.
