About the artwork

Simeon’s Blessing portrays the aged Simeon tenderly cradling the infant Jesus in the temple. Mary looks on with quiet devotion, while Joseph stands nearby with the doves brought for the family’s offering. The intimate gathering centers on the Christ Child and the joyful recognition of God’s promise.

Presented in accordance with the Law of Moses, Jesus is welcomed by Simeon as the salvation prepared for all peoples. This moving scene speaks of faithful waiting, humble obedience, redemption, and the revelation of Christ, as recorded in Luke 2:22-35 (ESV) and connected with the offering described in Leviticus 12:6-8 (ESV).

A meaningful choice for a church foyer or living room, this archival canvas features mirror-wrapped edges and arrives ready to hang.
