Shofar Watchman at Dusk

Product
Image ID
ebsps0746
Description
A solitary robed man stands on a dark wilderness ridge, lifting a shofar to his mouth as the last light spreads across the horizon. The distant hills and open sky frame him as a watchman figure, calling attention to worship, warning, repentance, and holy assembly. In biblical tradition, the ram’s horn sounded over Israel for appointed feasts, battle alerts, royal announcements, and sacred summons before the Lord. The image evokes the prophetic command to “blow the trumpet in Zion,” making it especially suited for themes of spiritual awakening, intercession, repentance, watchman ministry, and the Feast of Trumpets.

Scriptures
Ezekiel 33:3-6   Joel 2:1   Numbers 10:10   Psalm 81:3

Ezekiel 33

3 and if he sees the sword coming upon the land and blows the trumpet and warns the people, 4 then if anyone who hears the sound of the trumpet does not take warning, and the sword comes and takes him away, his blood shall be upon his own head. 5 He heard the sound of the trumpet and did not take warning; his blood shall be upon himself. But if he had taken warning, he would have saved his life. 6 But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet, so that the people are not warned, and the sword comes and takes any one of them, that person is taken away in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at the watchman's hand.

Joel 2

1 Blow a trumpet in Zion; sound an alarm on my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of the LORD is coming; it is near,

Numbers 10

10 On the day of your gladness also, and at your appointed feasts and at the beginnings of your months, you shall blow the trumpets over your burnt offerings and over the sacrifices of your peace offerings. They shall be a reminder of you before your God: I am the LORD your God.”

Psalm 81

3 Blow the trumpet at the new moon, at the full moon, on our feast day.
