Saul Blinded by God on the Road to Damascus

Saul was the worst enemy the Christians had so that even after they were persecuted and fled elsewhere, Saul got permission to follow them to harm them, starting with the churches in Damascus. Just outside of Damascus he is blinded by a dazzling light from heaven. Saul hears a voice saying, "Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me? Saul asks who is talking. The answer is, "i am Jesus whom you are persecuting." He is told to enter the city and to do what he is told to do.
