Sacrifice:Fruit and Lamb

Cain and Abel had been taught that sin was so terrible that only by the shedding of blood from a lamb could it be purged away. But Cain loved gardening and brought an offering of fruit while Abel obeyed and shed the blood of a lamb. God only accepted Abel's offering. There are two altars in the picture with these differing offerings on them. In the smoke from Abel's offering there is a silhouette of Christ on the Cross.
