Raised by the Hand of God

The hand of God reaches down toward a small company of robed figures standing among opened graves, presenting a clear vision of resurrection and divine summons. The empty burial places and upward gesture speak of death being interrupted by the authority of the Creator, calling the dead to stand before Him. The figures face the heavenly hand as those awakened from the grave, no longer defined by burial but by the promise of life. This artwork reflects the biblical hope that the Lord will call the dead forth at the appointed time. Jesus taught that “all who are in the tombs will hear his voice,” and the apostles proclaimed the resurrection as the final victory over death.
