Paul Beaten by Persecutors

The apostle Paul is thrown to the ground as hostile men strike him with fists and a raised staff on a barren roadside. His body is bent in pain while the attackers press in around him, capturing the violence faced by the early church as the gospel moved through resistant cities and villages. The scene reflects the persecution recorded in Acts, especially Paul’s suffering at Lystra, where opposition rose against his preaching and he was left for dead.
