Night exposure under stars and clear sky shows a glimpse of the main street with the old courthouse of 1886. Silverton existed purely for silver mining near the massive mines of Broken Hill in outback NSW and began in1883. It is now a minor artist hang-out and common movie location with a few historic buildings remaining but is firmly on the tourist map. by Mal Austin
