Net Full of Fish

A heavy fishing net rises from the water, packed with fish and stretched open under the weight of an abundant catch. The image points directly to the Gospel accounts where the disciples obey Jesus’ command to cast their nets and receive more than they can gather by their own strength. In Luke 5, the overflowing nets reveal Christ’s authority and lead Peter to recognize his sinfulness before the Lord. In John 21, the risen Jesus directs the disciples from the shore, and the great catch becomes a sign of resurrection provision, restored calling, and the mission to gather souls for the kingdom.
