Description

An elderly biblical prophet, identified by his long white beard, robe, sandals, and wooden staff, sits among rugged stones on a high mountain setting. The scene evokes Moses near the end of his wilderness journey, pausing on rocky ground with the staff that symbolizes God’s calling, leadership, and guidance through the desert. With a simple uncluttered background and clear character focus, this illustration is well suited for Old Testament teaching, Sunday school lessons, sermon visuals, children’s Bible materials, and ministry resources about Moses, faithfulness, leadership, and the journey toward the Promised Land.

Deuteronomy 34

And the LORD showed him all the land, Gilead as far as Dan, 2 all Naphtali, the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, all the land of Judah as far as the western sea, 3 the Negeb, and the Plain, that is, the Valley of Jericho the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4 And the LORD said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, ‘I will give it to your offspring.’ I have let you see it with your eyes, but you shall not go over there.”

Exodus 4

2 The LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, “A staff.” 3 And he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it. 4 But the LORD said to Moses, “Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”—so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—
