Description
An angel of mercy bends toward a fallen man and leads him away from the tribunal of judgment toward the promise written on the rock: “Whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.” At the left stands a solemn figure of Justice, holding scales and a sword beside a skull, symbols of judgment, mortality, and the righteous weighing of human deeds. The angel’s outstretched hand turns the scene from condemnation toward grace, echoing the final invitation of Revelation, where the Spirit and the Bride call the thirsty to receive life without price. The composition speaks to repentance, salvation, and the gospel offer extended to all who come to Christ for living water.
