The overhead view emphasizes his isolation and vulnerability as his companions sit at a respectful distance, staffs and cloaks marking the ancient patriarchal setting. The scene portrays the arrival of Eliphaz the Temanite, Bildad the Shuhite, and Zophar the Naamathite, who came to mourn with Job after hearing of his suffering.
