Jesus Leads a Blind Girl to Healing

Product
Image ID

Description
Jesus reaches out and takes the hand of a blindfolded young girl as her mother stands beside her in the dry wilderness landscape. The close handclasp centers the composition on trust, guidance, and divine compassion, while the mother’s watchful presence gives the moment the intimacy of intercession for a suffering child. The scene reflects the Gospel witness that Christ restored sight to the blind and welcomed the desperate faith of families who brought their loved ones to Him for mercy. Though not tied to one single named healing account, the imagery draws from the ministry of Jesus as the One who opens blind eyes, touches the afflicted, and leads the vulnerable into wholeness. It is suited for themes of healing prayer, faith, parental love, disability ministry, pastoral care, and sermons on Christ’s compassion.

John 9

1 As he passed by, he saw a man blind from birth. 2 And his disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” 3 Jesus answered, “It was not that this man sinned, or his parents, but that the works of God might be displayed in him. 4 We must work the works of him who sent me while it is day; night is coming, when no one can work. 5 As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.” 6 Having said these things, he spat on the ground and made mud with the saliva. Then he anointed the man's eyes with the mud 7 and said to him, “Go, wash in the pool of Siloam” (which means Sent). So he went and washed and came back seeing.

Luke 4

18 “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

Mark 8

22 And they came to Bethsaida. And some people brought to him a blind man and begged him to touch him. 23 And he took the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village, and when he had spit on his eyes and laid his hands on him, he asked him, “Do you see anything?” 24 And he looked up and said, “I see men, but they look like trees, walking.” 25 Then Jesus laid his hands on his eyes again; and he opened his eyes, his sight was restored, and he saw everything clearly.

Matthew 11

5 the blind receive their sight and the lame walk, lepers are cleansed and the deaf hear, and the dead are raised up, and the poor have good news preached to them.

Matthew 9

27 And as Jesus passed on from there, two blind men followed him, crying aloud, “Have mercy on us, Son of David.” 28 When he entered the house, the blind men came to him, and Jesus said to them, “Do you believe that I am able to do this?” They said to him, “Yes, Lord.” 29 Then he touched their eyes, saying, “According to your faith be it done to you.” 30 And their eyes were opened. And Jesus sternly warned them, “See that no one knows about it.”
