Israel Rejoices Over King Solomon

Product

Description
King Solomon stands crowned among the people of Israel, lifting his hands in praise as men and women rejoice around him. A woman beats a tambourine, worshipers raise their arms, and palm branches frame the celebration beside the stone walls of the city. The scene reflects the public joy surrounding Solomon’s enthronement, when Israel received David’s son as king and the people celebrated with music, praise, and gladness. In the biblical account, Solomon’s kingship points to covenant continuity: the Lord’s promise to David is carried forward through a ruler called to govern with wisdom, justice, and reverence. This artwork is well suited for teaching themes of godly leadership, worshipful celebration, kingdom succession, and the joy of God’s people gathered in praise.

Scriptures
1 Chronicles 29:22-25   1 Kings 1:38-40

1 Chronicles 29

22 And they ate and drank before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and they anointed him as prince for the LORD, and Zadok as priest. 23 Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king in place of David his father. And he prospered, and all Israel obeyed him. 24 All the leaders and the mighty men, and also all the sons of King David, pledged their allegiance to King Solomon. 25 And the LORD made Solomon very great in the sight of all Israel and bestowed on him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

1 Kings 1

38 So Zadok the priest, Nathan the prophet, and Benaiah the son of Jehoiada, and the Cherethites and the Pelethites went down and had Solomon ride on King David's mule and brought him to Gihon. 39 There Zadok the priest took the horn of oil from the tent and anointed Solomon. Then they blew the trumpet, and all the people said, “Long live King Solomon!” 40 And all the people went up after him, playing on pipes, and rejoicing with great joy, so that the earth was split by their noise.
