historic gaol under stars

Night exposure under stars and clear sky shows the Gaol Historical Museum building which was closed as a gaol in 1943. Silverton existed purely for silver mining near the massive mines of Broken Hill in outback NSW and began in1883. It is now a minor artist hang-out and common movie location with a few historic buildings remaining but is firmly on the tourist map. by Mal Austin
