Daniel Prays Toward Jerusalem

Product
Image ID

Description
Daniel stands in an upper-room window set within a rough stone wall, his hands lifted together in reverent prayer. Wrapped in a striped prayer shawl, the aged Israelite turns his face outward in devotion, embodying the moment described in Daniel 6:10 when he continued to pray toward Jerusalem after the king’s decree made such worship dangerous. The open window becomes a sign of covenant faithfulness: Daniel does not hide his allegiance to God, but gives thanks as he had done before. This artwork is well suited for teaching on steadfast prayer, civil pressure, exile, spiritual discipline, and faithful witness in the face of opposition.
