Angel Appears to the Shepherds

An angel of the Lord stands radiant in the night field, raising a hand before startled shepherds guarding their flock. One shepherd kneels in awe while another grips his staff and looks upward, surrounded by sheep beneath a sky filled with stars. The scene portrays the Christmas announcement in Luke 2, when heavenly glory broke into an ordinary pasture and the first witnesses to the birth of Jesus were humble shepherds keeping watch by night.
